This year, over a hundred BLS students attended the 2018 MassJCL State Convention at Barnstable High School in the Cape! Some arrived late due to their commitment to our school's music night. Nevertheless, everyone arrived at convention, ready for the fun and competition JCL that JCL provides! Our students competed in various contests, including Academics, Oratory/Writing, Graphic Arts, Sports, and even some showcased their talents by auditioning for That's Entertainment, a talent show during State Convention. At the same time, BLSJCL sent three officers as candidates for this year's MassJCL elections, all of whom faced tough competition. However, BLSJCL made history by sweeping Certamen, overall sweepstakes, and overall school awards! All three of our candidates were elected, with Carina Layfield (II) becoming President of MassJCL!
