Bikes Not Bombs Sunday, July 9th from 9am to 6pm Meeting Spot: 10 Harvard Street, Dorchester, MA We will be helping load containers of bikes to be sent to Ghana and Sierra Leone. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. This is a rain or shine event, so dress accordingly!
Volunteering Opportunity at The Cue Tuesday,August 15th from 3pm to 9pm Meeting Spot:1 Black Falcon Ave, Boston, MA 02210 We will be working with the Boston magazine Marketing team at the Cue. We will be in charge of setting up stations with supplies, tables/linens according to the event layout, and registration. During the event, we will directly be working with guests, helping at registration, handing out VIP gifts, helping guests navigate the venue, and encouraging guests to enter sweepstakes.
Please wear blacks shorts, pants, skirt, or dress and comfy shoes (sneakers are fine). You will receive a t-shirt at the event. Food and water are provided.
The Boston Heart Walk Saturday, September 9th, 2017 (7:30am to 1:30pm) Meeting Spot: 47 David G Mugar Way, Boston, MA 02108 The event raises money to fund cardiovascular research and education, advocate for health, and save lives. We will be breaking down & setting up, directing walkers, manning water stops, overseeing an obstacle course, etc.!
8th Annual Boston Local Food Festival Sunday, September 17th @ Rose Kennedy Greenway (2pm to 6pm) Meeting Spot: The corner of John F Fitzgerald Surface Road & India St, Boston, MA 02110. We will be making sure the festival is a zero-waste one; we are in charge of manning the trash bins and educating guests on what can be recycled/composted. There will be 30,000-50,000 attendees, so there's a lot of work to be done!

Taste of Downtown Crossing Sunday, September 24thfrom 11am to 3:30pm Meeting Spot: Avenue de Lafayette This festive outdoor event will feature food samplings from over 20 different and delicious restaurants, representing their unique cuisines. A few of our jobs will be greeting and directing guests and helping with chef demos.

KidsReallyRock Festival Sunday, October 1stfrom 10:30am to 6:30pm Meeting Spot: 420 D Street, Boston, MA 02210 Now in it's 5th year, KidsReallyRock was created to bring together kids and families of all backgrounds from across greater-Boston to celebrate kindness, community and creativity. There are 2 stages with live music all day, and hands-on art and activities for kids of all ages. We will be keeping the stations clean, helping children with various art projects, and making sure the area stays safe.

WBUR Radio When: Tuesday, October 3rd, Thursday, October 5th, Friday, October 6th from 3pm to 7pm Meeting Spot: 890 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02135 We will be supporting NPR and WBUR by taking pledge calls for their fundraiser. There will be free food, books, and a tour of the radio station! Shifts are 3:00-5:30 and 5:00-7:00 on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Boston Firefighters Local 718 10K Memorial Road Race When: Sunday, October 15th from 7am to 11am Meeting Spot: Florian Hall (55 Hallet Street, Dorchester) We will be directing the attendees and handing out water to the runners at water stations. This is a race, so people will need to stay hydrated!
Spartan Race When: Saturday, November 4th, 2017 (8am-3pm) Meeting Spot: Fenway Park Signup Deadline: Wednesday, October 25th, 2017
This is the 6th annual Spartan Race, which has intense sprints and obstacle courses for all ages. We will be overseeing the Kids Race; in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to race for prizes as well! Let me know if you are interested in racing to receive more information. You will receive a t-shirt and lunch.
Boston River Run When: Sunday, November 12th, 2017 (7am-11am) Meeting Spot: 1255 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA, 02135 Signup Deadline: Wednesday, October 25th, 2017
We will be helping out by handing out snacks and water to runners, cheering, cleaning-up afterwards, and doing other course support jobs. You will receive a T-shirt and breakfast.
Operation Gratitude When: Tuesday and Wednesday November 28th and 29th, 2017 (2:30-3:30) Meeting Spot: Room 225 Signup Deadline: Please fill out this Google Form Info:We will be writing letters to Deployed Troops, Wounded Heroes, Veterans, and New Recruits. There will be sample letters. Bring materials and/or extra Halloween candy if you have any! These are in-school community service hours.
MLK Commemorative Breakfast When: Monday, January 15th, 2018 (6:30am-12pm) Meeting Spot: Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (415 Summer St, Boston, MA, 02210) Signup Deadline: Friday, January 12th, 2018 Info: Dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service, this event attracts an audience of about 1,000 including leaders in business, civic, community, religious leaders, as well as education and community organizations from across Massachusetts. We will guide guests to their tables, greet guests, usher folks to designated areas, and help gather items when the program ends. Before this, all volunteers will receive a brief training. Please wear formal attire.
Disability Awareness Spotlight Day When: Saturday, January 20th, 2018 (10am-4pm) Meeting Spot: 411 Unquity Road, Milton, MA 02186 Signup Deadline: Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 Info: This program makes sure that everyone gets to experience the outdoors. We will be helping out by working with the children at different activities, such as ice skating, sledding, snurfing, snowshoeing, snow shelter building, archery, knot/pioneering skills, first aid skills, STEM programs, and outdoor cooking. You will receive a T-shirt.
Anime Boston When: Friday, March 30th - Sunday, April 1, 2018 Meeting Spot: Hynes Convention Center / Sheraton Boston Hotel Signup Deadline: Thursday, March 1st, 2018 *FIRST COME FIRST SERVE* Info:*IMPORTANT* You must be 15 years old or older by March 29th to volunteer. You need to pay $70 to volunteer, and you will only be reimbursed once you have helped out for 16 hours. You may work for less time, but you will not receive your money back.
